    HISTORY
It has been reported that a periodical called Nevada Librarian was published by NLA from 1946 to 1950. The Nevada Library Notes was an official publication of the Nevada State Library, although it contained a great deal of news about the association. It appeared from 1951 to 1963. In 1963, the association began sponsoring the publication of Nevada Libraries in a new format, although it continued to be produced by State Library staff. This publication ceased in 1973, and was replaced by Nevada Libraries High Roller, edited by a volunteer editor and wholly financed by NLA. (Its name changed inadvertently to Nevada Library Association High Roller in 1977 when a new cover was designed.) Nevada Libraries was a quarterly; at first there was an attempt to publish the High Roller on a bimonthly basis, although the result was irregular. In 1976 and 1977, ten issues were published each year, but in 1978, frequency had settled back into a more-or-less regular bimonthly schedule. The High Roller was published quarterly. The Nevada Library Association High Roller publication returned to the use of the name Nevada Libraries starting with Vol. 34, No. 1, February, 1997 issue. This is a bi-monthly publication of the Nevada Library Association (February, April, June, August, Special October Convention issue for attendees, December).

Subscription rates were raised from $2 to $5 per year in 1977, and a program to exchange the publication with those of other states was discontinued. Current subscription rates are $20 yearly, non-member (U.S.)
