Blogs can be used as effective tools to market your library events and offerings. They can also be used by you, the library staff member, to keep on the cutting edge of trends and discussions in the library world.

Springs in the Desert: A Kid’s History of Las Vegas

This program will be hosted by Mrs. Sheila Moulton, Clark County School District Trustee. It will be presented by librarians from the Clark County School District.
They will introduce this new easy-to-read textbook that was written primarily for the 4th grades of the CCSD. This book takes kids on a colorful thousand-year journey from the time that Las Vegas was a Anasazi village to Nevada’s first ghost town ( it’s true!) to the tourist Mecca that it is today! It gives kids a chance to learn Las Vegas their own way! A companion book “Springs in the Desert Activity Book” is also available for parents and teachers to use to plan day trips to local historic sites!
