LAKE LAS VEGAS CRUISE LAUNCHED AT NEVADA LIBRARY CONFERENCE
Henderson, NV—The Nevada Library Association (NLA) will take a
voyage aboard the La Contessa yacht on the waters of Lake Las Vegas during
its 58th Annual Conference being held August 11 – 14, 2004 at the
Hyatt Regency Lake Las Vegas Resort.
The party will set sail on Wednesday, August 11, at 6:00 p.m., following
the NLA pre-conference session. Guests will enjoy a 90-minute cruise
over the 320-acre Lake Las Vegas. Hors d’oeuvres will be served
and beverages will be available for purchase.
NLA’s annual conference provides a forum for librarians, library
staff, students, supporters, friends, and library vendors to enhance
professional development through workshops, discussion groups, and networking
events. This year’s conference, Viva
Lake Las Vegas: Celebrating Nevada’s Diversity, includes the Nevada Young Readers’ Awards
breakfast, a customized pre-conference event for youth services and school
librarians and library media specialists, and a hosted exhibitors’ reception.
