New Online Registration for NLA 2004

Henderson, NV—The Nevada Library Association (NLA) has announced the debut of its online registration for its 2004 Conference, to be held Wednesday, August 11 through Saturday, August 14, at the Hyatt Lake Las Vegas Resort in Henderson, Nevada.

This year’s conference, Viva Lake Las Vegas: Celebrating Nevada’s Diversity, will offer 36 programs and events, in addition to an all-day Preconference (August 11) tailored to school and youth services librarians and library media specialists.

Joan Vaughan, Internet Services Librarian for the Henderson District Public Library and 2004 NLA Conference Chair, is pleased at the effectiveness of the online registration rollout: “Going with the Acteva software program for NLA conference registration has been a breeze." With the Early-Bird deadline just around the corner (Thursday, July 1, 2004), conference registration can be completed with a credit card from any library or home computer, or even the Internet Café at the American Library Association (ALA) Annual Conference in Orlando, Florida, going on June 25 – 30, 2004.

Speakers for NLA 2004 in Henderson include ALA president Carla Hayden, Nevada historian, author, columnist and professor Dr. Michael Green, and Placer County, California librarians Mary George and Christopher Chrisman, two of Library Journal’s “Movers & Shakers.”

To register online, please go to http://www.acteva.com/go/nla.
