PRESIDENT’S FIESTA HIGHLIGHT OF NEVADA LIBRARY CONFERENCE
Henderson, NV—The Nevada Library Association (NLA) will celebrate
its annual president’s social on Friday evening, August 13, 2004,
with Felton’s Fiesta, featuring a festive 2004 NLA president Felton
Thomas. The event will be held at the Henderson District Public Library’s
new Paseo Verde Library.
Thomas, administrator for the West Las Vegas Library, promises a good
time for all; “the reception will feature the best of Nevada in
food and entertainment, along with the winners of a variety of NLA awards
and scholarships being announced. In addition, the first Joan Kerschner
Leadership recognition pin will be displayed.” Possible Fiesta
surprises abound, with rumors of an Elvis sighting being heard among
library staff throughout the state.
Felton’s Fiesta is $25 per person, and is open to all conference
attendees.
