The UNLV Libraries seeks an innovative and future-oriented library leader to become the Director of Technical Services, a division of the Libraries comprised of two departments: Materials Ordering and Receiving and Bibliographic and Metadata Services. This senior management position, reporting to the Dean of Libraries, will
manage and supervise the interdepartmental work processes for the acquisition, licensing, description, classification, and maintenance of library collections of all types and in all formats. The incumbent will work closely with Head of Collection Development and other library colleagues in managing and tracking the collections budget and overseeing related data collection. The Director will also collaborate to address evolving developments in library technologies particularly as applied to discovery and access tools, integrated library systems, acquisition and cataloging of materials, and electronic resources management.
