REFORMA Releases List of Conference Programs
REFORMA, the National Association to Promote
Library and Information Services to Latinos and the
Spanish-Speaking, is a contributing program sponsor for the Nevada
Library Association/Mountain Plains Library Association joint
conference to be held at the Hyatt Lake Tahoe Resort and Casino in
November 2003. Maria Champlin, chair of the REFORMA subcommittee
for the conference said in a recent release, “The REFORMA
Subcommittee Program worked hard in putting together an array of
programs that we believe will enrich you personally and
professionally.”
REFORMA will be sponsoring four
pre-conference programs on November 5th, including
“Pass it on: Using Word-of-Mouth Marketing to Reach Latinos” and
“Ay Caramba: The Approach to Effective Latino Outreach Services.”
During the three-day conference, November 6th, 7th
and 8th, REFORMA will offer eight presentations from
“How to Start and Build a Public Library Spanish Language
Collection” to “Serving Hispanic Students in the Community College
